I am so happy that I did so many pre-hab exercises leading up to this surgery. My calves and my quads feel okay and am still working on flexing them as I lie around. It's getting harder and harder to lift my leg up on my own, but once it's up, I can usually keep it up. The cpm machine is feeling better and better- like a two hour deep, deep stretch after a long hard workout. The foam block I hang my leg off of causes the most discomfort (it's supposed to try to keep it extra straight) but other than that, I'm feeling a lot better than I thought I would at this point. My parents and friends continue to be totally patient with my sometime crabbiness. I appreciate all the texts and emails I am getting to check up on me! I do apologize for the poor quality of my writing...as I ease off the drugs it should get better!!!
Here are some pictures of me on the cpm machine and also a gift I got from my loves...they know me too well- a cool Star Wars bag- probably picked out by Jason- filled with sports and entertainment magazines, beachy-smelling lotion and scrub (for when I can FINALLY take a shower) and yummy snacks!
My leg looks huge all wrapped up!
When Jason was little, he called the Clone Wars the "Clum Wars" so now I do too.
